A Guinness World Record was broken on Peterborough Cathedral on Sunday 10th June (subject to confirmation) for the largest gathering of fairies in one place.
In glorious sunshine, 878 people came to Peterborough Cathedral at 12:30 – all wearing tutus, wings and each carrying a wand (the stipulations needed in order to qualify as a fairy).
The event was organised in order to raise awareness of Anna's Hope – the East of England's leading brain tumour charity – and the event was a huge success. Even though 900 fairies was not quite achieved, it looks as though the efforts of the 878 will be enough to break the Guinness World Record. Well done to everyone involved!
